Finally! Ashley Visits The Hello Kitty Cafe In Singapore

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe Singapore

If crazed Hello Kitty fans were to visit Singapore, their first stop would have to be the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe in Singapore’s Changi Airport. Unlike other Hello Kitty Cafes around the world where the themed colours are mostly pink and pastel colours, this one has its own whimsical elegance and class with orchids adorning every corner of the cafe. It’s open 24 hours, so you can stopover at any time. Since Ashley is such a big Hello Kitty fan, we just had to visit the cafe and order the most Hello Kitty looking food. I’ve been to lots of themed cafes and to be honest, most of the time, the food just leaves me feeling slightly disappointed as it’s usually more for visual appeal. But the food we had here was actually pretty enjoyable and I got major puppy dog eyes from Ashley when I tried to eat the Hello Kitty cookies!

With only the both of us, we couldn’t really afford to order too many dishes because unless we were competitive eaters with black holes in our stomachs, we wouldn’t have been able to finish the food.

Hola Nachos! (SGD$15.90)
Crunchy tortilla chips topped with oodles of parmesan, jalapenos, olives, onions and cherry tomato salsa for that hint of tangy sweetness.

Big Breakfast Surprise (SGD18.50)
Creamy scrambled eggs, Shiitake mushrooms, smoked duck slices and a scrumptious kitty waffle topped with cheese and paired with homemade honey lime maple syrup.

Let’s Do The Salsa (SGD$16.50)
A chicken sandwich with a salsa twist! Toasted focaccia bread with succulent shredded chicken, heavenly melted cheese, jalapenos, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, Japanese cucumber and olives topped with homemade taco mayonnaise.

They have really interesting names for most of their dishes like Oops Kitty Did It Again!; Going For A Tan, and Land of The Rising Kitty. You have to drop by to find out what those dishes are. Hehe…

I ordered hot mocha so I got Hello Kitty’s ribbon latte art but if you want Hello Kitty’s face, I believe that you need to either order actual latte (mocha’s still coffee isn’t it?!) or request for the design.
